Avocado / Persea Americana
Avocado has been used in traditional Indonesian beauty rituals to provide nourishment, and to brighten, soften, and boost the resilience of skin and hair. Avocado is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid, and oleic acid. It also contains β-sitosterol, β-carotene, lecithin, minerals, and vitamins A, C, D, and E. It is an excellent source of enrichment for dry, damaged, or chapped skin. Avocado is also useful as an antioxidant that helps protect the skin from the harmful effects of free radicals and treats sunburned skin that has been exposed to excessive UV exposure.
