OUR PHILOSOPHY
Jamu (old name Djamu) is a traditional medicine, originating in Indonesia. It is predominantly a herbal medicine made from natural materials, such as roots, bark, flowers, seeds, leaves and fruits.
The Jamu herbal culture was prevalent in the royal courts of Yogyakarta and Surakarta where the ancient books on herbal medicine were kept in the Royal Library. Jamu was prescribed to royalties and nobles and according to tradition, the famed beauty of Putri Keraton (princess and palace ladies) are owed to Jamu.
